House of Lasagna | Restaurant Review & Impressions

House of Lasagna Beef
House of Lasagna's Beef Lasagna
We're really big fans of lasagna. The moment we heard about the restaurant House of Lasagna, we knew we had to try it and see if they can live up to their name.

The first branch that we visited was their Greenhills Shopping Center branch, it can be found in the garden area on the other side of the chapel/church. It was still on soft-opening when we got tried it but the staff was very friendly and accommodating and their restaurant layout is nice and comfortable.

One thing is certain, House of Lasagna lives up to their name and they make lasagnas perfectly. Their chicken lasagna is cooked meticulously and served to you piping hot. Yes, you will burn your tongue if you became too impatient and jumped on the food too quickly. Patience is key, young grasshopper. Aside from the nice serving portion of the lasagna, they will also provide you with unlimited servings garlic bread, you can ask for more if you run out.

House of Lasagna's Southern Fried Chicken Skin
We also ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Skin for appetizer during our visit. They claim that the fat has already been removed so this chicken skin is a good, healthier alternative. I think they're right the Chicken Skin stayed crispy the whole time and they offer a big serving. It comes with a spiced vinegar dip that goes well with the chicken skin but the seasoning is good enough and you can enjoy it without using the vinegar dip.

We also tried their "Bubble Iced Tea" drink but found it a bit confusing. It was iced tea, with a lot of froth. About two-thirds of the  glass was froth and the juice was really strong even with a lot of ice. I don't really get what they were trying to do there and didn't enjoy it very much. Thus, didn't order it on our second visit.

Speaking of second visit, we decided to try out their House of Lasagna ETON Centris branch last weekend with a couple of friends. This branch definitely needs to improve on their air conditioning. Staff had to provide customers with their own electric fans because the air-conditioning unit is either not working or not capable of cooling the whole place.

3-Cheese Lasagna! Yummeh!
This time we were able to try the 3-Cheese Lasagna which is a definite must-try for cheese lovers. A lot of people I know who loves cheese will love this dish. I tried the beef lasagna and as expected it was delicious, cooked perfectly and served piping hot! You can actually here the cheese still sizzling when they serve it to you. A friend who ordered the Vegetarian Lasagna mentioned that she couldn't tell the difference between the Beef lasagna and the Vegetarian lasagna. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Lamb Chops with Green Mint Jelly
Another dish that our party ordered is the Lamb Chops with rice and mint jelly. This also comes with a serving of salad. The lamb chop was prepared and cooked perfectly and did not have any pungent smell that usually came with lamb. It's a good dish to order if you love the taste of lamb.

The price of House of Lasagna's dishes were mid-ranged and the quality of the food they serve if definitely above average. There is a bit of a waiting time between ordering until the food is served since they only prepare your meal when you order. If this is the case, I don't mind the wait since I always want my food served to me fresh and hot. This is also a good time to catch up with friends.

Final Verdict: If you love lasagna, I highly suggest you try House of Lasagna. It's a lot different experience from other fastfood lasagna that we got used to. Bring your friends and family and enjoy the meal.
