Arafu Cafe in SM North has a great interior and a nice, quiet set-up, a great place to relax, unwind and catch-up while enjoying all the yummy dishes that they offer. It's great that some awesome Jpop music plays in the background while dining.
Hamburg & Sausage Combo from Arafu Cafe |
What really got me interested during the lady at the door's pitch was the all-you-can-eat rice, I'm a sucker for rice and then we decided to give it a try. During my first time, I ordered the Hamburg & Sausage Combo with demi-glace. The server also gave me the Japanese sauce so I can try that as well.
The hamburg/tawara steak is made from 100% sirloin and cooked to perfection. The juices of the beef are locked inside and after one bite you already now why this is the best hamburg steak in town. As mentioned earlier you can ask for more rice once you finished what was included in your plate. Note that the rice they serve is Japanese short-grained rice! They also provide you with unlimited soup, it's not as I initially thought but a light vegetable soup great for cleansing the palate. Awesome!
Leng ordered the Hamburg Steak with Cheese. With additional cheese. |
Their dessert that I liked the most was the Green Tea ice cream. Another home-made specialty, and a must-try for everyone who loves green tea.
Other dishes that you must try after your first visit are the Ebi Fry, cooked to golden brown perfection! The Chicken Teriyaki and the Tamago Dashi. Given the chance, I'd eat that awesome Tamago Dashi for breakfast everyday!
In money matters, the price is a bit steep for a meal, our bill often is around 900php to 1,200php for the two of us. But everything it worth it because you can see and taste the quality for all the food they serve. Even the service is perfect. I could not ask for more on how the servers are friendly and accommodating.

Final Verdict: When you have budget give Arafu Cafe a try, you will not regret it!
