From the time that you get seated is the start of the experience. The waiter will provide you with the menu and will answer any inquiries that you might have. It is very evident that they have been properly trained by the way they answer your question. Brief but very informative. Kudos on the management on this one.
I have a staple whenever I order, the photo on the left, The Hire Katsu set. It comes with a miso soup, pickled radish as palate cleanser, all-you-can-eat japanese shortgrained rice and cabbage, slices of fruits, particularly pineapple and watermelon. And of course, the main dish a generous serving of golden brown, mouth-watering katsu. Expect that the price for this set will be a little steeper compared to your regular japanese fastfood restaurant, but the experience and the great service is something to rave about. After eating at Yabu for the first time, it felt like we underpaid because of the great food, service and experience that we got from dining there.
If you have something to celebrate about or just looking for something different to try. I suggest you try the Best Katsu in Metro Manila: Yabu: House of Katsu. They can be found on the 2nd level of SM Megamall Atrium. You can like Yabu’s Facebook Page here and here is a link to Yabu: House of Katsu’s website.
(PS: It was really a nice thing that their brand manager, Denise, took her time to send you a thank you note for filling up their review card.)
(PSS: Are the shirts that say, “Keep Calm and Curry On” for sale? Because that would be so awesome!)
