Superlux HD 669 Headphones

HD669 Headphones
I got these awesome full sized headphones a few months back and I still love them up until now. The Superlux HD669 Professional Studio Standard Headphones busts out great sounding with the highs and lows but a bit weak on the mids. The bass is great but not as strong as other bass-focused headphones, which can be very offensive to the ear sometimes. Build quality feels great in the hand and my cans have fallen a number of times, cable has been pulled more than twice and everything still works perfectly. Since these pair of cans are closed back expect superior sound isolation. Other technical specs below:
  • Acoustic Design: Closed Back
  • Frequency Response: 10Hz ~ 30KHz
  • Sensitivity (dB SPL/1mW):- 200mW
  • Rated Impedance: 56 Ω
  • Weight, without cable: 235g/ 8.3 oz.
  • Cable: Detachable: 1 meter & 3 meter
  • Plug Adaptor: 3.5/6.3mm, 1/8" to 1/4"

Superlux HD669 set included 2 cables, 1 meter and 3 meter, to provide users with options on how they want their cables. The box also includes a soft carrying pouch, cable clip to prevent the cable from being pulled out when randomly tugged, and a 3.5 to 6.3 gold coated plug adapter.

The downside of these cans are the size, These are huge and better off enjoyed at home or at the studio. The sound isolation also is a factor when walking around town or commuting since the isolation is superb it's difficult to hear what's going around your environment. Another thing I noticed when I use them over over an hour for listening to music when working is the fit is a bit too tight, or I have a big head. It gets uncomfortable if you use these for over an hour and a half. And the fact that the foam will leave your ear area a tad bit sweaty if you're in room temperature.
