How to get the Starbucks Planner 2014 on Day 1

The Starbucks planner is one of the most sought after items during the holiday season. I learned a trick on how to be able to grab the Starbucks Planner on day 1 and still be able to collect the other colors of the planner(If you're that hardcore like some people I know).

Usually, you are able to earn a planner when you collect the prescribed number of stickers, a combination of "holiday special drinks" and regular drinks. As soon as those are completed, you can trade in your completed sticker book for a planner. This year, you need 18 stickers in total, 9 for holiday drinks and 9 for the regular. Those who were able to secure a sticker book/card on day one gets 1 free holiday drink sticker.

Here's the Starbucks Planner on DAY 1 trick:

I found out that a SINGLE receipt purchase of 5,000 pesos or more will automatically earn you one planner of your choice. Either by buying everyone in the house a drink till your reach a single-receipt purchase of 5000 pesos, OR buying Gift Certificates worth 5000 pesos or more(You can give these away for the holidays). And the last one is to load your Starbucks Card with at least 5000 pesos worth. With the right approach, you can collect the other colors as well with the 5000 worth of GC or  your Starbucks Card's load.

This worked for a friend of mine, He got his planner November 2nd. If you're going for this, better ask or clarify this with the branch's barista first before splurging 5000 pesos of your hard earned money. It may or it may not work, try this with caution.
